Can you describe the moment you wanted to capture?
I wanted to capture a moment of love.
Where were you when you realised you wanted to make this piece of art?
I knew I wanted to capture my two friends together, but I chose the location because I thought the city was a really beautiful background to encompass the subjects.
Can you describe the moment you captured the photo?
I didn’t give my friends any directions, I simply applied red lipstick onto Vittoria. They then showed me their love in simple ways.
Were you listening to music when you created this piece?
I was not. I think a song which could go well with this piece would be Attics of my Life by the Grateful Dead.
What have you learnt since creating this piece?
I was reminded that love is spontaneous.
Where do you dream of living?
I dream of living in Rome or Florence.
What does red remind you of?
Red reminds me of love, passion, anger, hatred - emotions that may be considered opposites but that are actually very close to each other and can often flow into one another fairly easily.
